THINKTOOL Reader 8 Professional Full-System Diagnostic Scanner (10002150)

Full system diagnostics, includes read and clear fault code, read live data stream, actuation test and more.

What Is the THINKTOOL Reader 8?

The THINKTOOL Reader 8 is a full system OBDII diagnostic scanner that supports 95% of passenger vehicles currently on the market. Unlike basic code readers that only access the engine system, the THINKTOOL Reader 8 scans all available vehicle control modules — including engine, ABS, airbags, transmission, body control, and more — giving you a complete picture of your vehicle’s health in one scan.

With its brand-new compact design and updated user interface, the THINKTOOL Reader 8 is significantly easier to navigate than older-generation scanners, making it a practical choice for both experienced technicians and first-time diagnostic tool users.

THINKTOOL Reader 8 Key Features

Full System Diagnostics The THINKTOOL Reader 8 accesses all available ECUs across the vehicle, not just the engine. This means you can identify faults in the transmission, ABS, SRS airbag system, instrument cluster, body control module, and other systems that simpler tools completely miss.

Read & Clear Fault Codes Quickly read diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from all systems and clear them once repairs are completed. The THINKTOOL Reader 8 displays both the fault code and a description, so you understand what the vehicle is reporting without needing a separate lookup tool.

Live Data Streaming Monitor real-time sensor data from any supported system while the vehicle is running. Live data is invaluable for diagnosing intermittent faults, verifying sensor operation, and confirming that repairs have resolved the underlying issue.

Actuation Test The THINKTOOL Reader 8 supports actuation tests, allowing you to activate individual components — such as fuel injectors, cooling fans, or EGR valves — directly from the scanner to verify correct operation without needing additional equipment.

Integrated Maintenance Functions The THINKTOOL Reader 8 includes the most commonly used service reset functions built in, including oil service reset, electronic parking brake (EPB) reset, steering angle sensor (SAS) calibration, throttle body adaptation, and more — covering the everyday maintenance tasks that workshops perform on a regular basis.

6.2-Inch Touchscreen with New UI The large, responsive 6.2-inch touchscreen and redesigned interface make navigating menus, reading data, and completing tests faster and more intuitive than ever. The THINKTOOL Reader 8 is designed to be used comfortably in a workshop environment — clear to read, easy to hold, and quick to operate.
